It's safe to say every foodie has a go to Tex Mex chain in their back pocket for those Friday nights when you just need a marg and some enchiladas after work. Lupe Tortilla right up there on our list. We used to almost exclusively go to that one place that starts with a P, but after a few years we finally branched out. Our 1st time trying Lupe Tortilla was at the Morning After Brunch event. We tasted their carne asada breakfast taco and knew we had to see what the rest of the menu was talking about. As of today, Lupe Tortilla only has locations and Texas but we have a feeling expansion is coming soon.

Here's our rundown of Lupe Tortilla:

Location: So far we've visited the Austin and Houston locations and each one has that standard indoor/outdoor Tex Mex restaurant vibe. Parking is usually not an issue since they own their own lots, but if its a busy night you might have to walk some extra steps to your car.

Instagram Worthiness: The outdoor seating is a vibe if you're trying to get a quick dinner selfie. And it's perfect for "those table full of margaritas" pictures

Menu: Where do we even start? Lupe's menu covers all the basic Tex Mex cravings like tacos and enchiladas but they set themselves apart by having a nice seafood selection and a BOMB brunch menu. Seafood items include the Tilapia Veracruz topped with shrimp in a red chile cream sauce and Crab Avocado Enchiladas. Anddddd on top of alladat they even have a brunch menu!!!

Price: $15-$20 for a plate. If you tryna drink, go head and throw in an extra $10. Basically, come to Lupe ready to spend some coins okay.

Taste: We're gonna say two words: Carne Asada. The first time we tried it was at a brunch event and we been hooked ever since. It's flavorful without been over seasoned and tender so you get those lil juice drops when you bite it. The other items are also rich in flavor but also not the atypical Tex Mex restaurant taste. You can actually taste the quality in the food. We also loveeeeee their Praline waffles. Literally a top 10 brunch item for us.

Service: We've been here a whole lotta times so its hard to pinpoint a specific service experience. Overall we've never had any bad customer services experiences here. Even if we've had to wait to be seated or for food to arrive the serves always made sure we were well informed.

Who Would Like This Spot: Anybody looking for a solid Tex Mex spot or a place to have drinks on a Friday night. It's also a cute date spot if y'all have a taste for Tex Mex.

Rating: 8/10 Seasoning Bottles. We can always count on Lupe Tortilla to be consistent and open when were in desperate need of margs and enchiladas

Unapologetic Tip: Be sure to call ahead if you want to try the brunch menu. Brunch hours vary by location.
