Dang yall! It's crazy to think that it's been over two years since we started Unapologetically Seasoned. It seems like just yesterday, we were deciding on our logo colors and writing up our first Instagram post. When we start thinking about those first few months, we can't help but think back to our first foodie event-Houston Press' Morning After Brunch event.

The event was hosted at the Bayou City Event Center in Houston and focused on our favorite meal of the day-brunch! There were a ton of vendors and local restaurants there with samples of their brunch menu items. When we first got there they gave us these little boxes with a steamless wine glass, tickets, and more branded items. Not only were there a whole bunch of stations to try, but they also had bottomless samples. Now the catch to that was that some of the lines were long, so you didn't have as much time to go to all of them. In true Unapologetically Seasoned, fashion we got there kind of late, so we didn't get to try as many stations as we wanted to. But, we did load up on breakfast tacos from Lupe Tortilla, bread pudding, Fruity Pebbles French Toast, and Shrimp and Grits from Ouises Table. We even tried some celery juice shots just for the fun of it. On top of the samples, most restaurants also gave out coupons to visit their physical locations. Just thinking about all those samples got our mouths watering yall.

It was at this event that we fell in love with Lupe Tortilla's brunch menu, tried authentic Italian spirits for the first time, and realized how important it is to network in the foodie world. We were literally babies to the foodie game, but we got so much motivation from that event. We immediately went looking for more foodie events. Now 2020 threw us all the way off when it came to going to events, but we know the events are about to be popping in late 2021! We tryna get on these guest lists yall.
What foodie events have yall attended in the past? Tell us in the comments, and we'll be sure to put them on our radar for the upcoming year.
